- Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources in the Gambia
The Ministry has the overall responsibility to oversee and coordinate the development and implementation of policies and programs relevant to the environment, climate change, and natural resources. The primary role of the Ministry is to facilitate governance in the protection, management, conservation and the development of the environment and natural resources, including its biodiversity, for sustainable development. In discharging its mandate, MECCNAR support and facilitate the work of the National Environment Agency (NEA), the Department of Forestry (DOF), and the Department of Parks and Wildlife Management (DPWM). The two technical departments and agency are the operational bodies for the implementation of policies—resources of the country.

- Green Climate Fund (GCF)
GCF is a unique global platform to respond to climate change by investing in low-emission and climate-resilient development. It was established by 194 governments to limit or reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in developing countries, and to help vulnerable societies adapt to the unavoidable impacts of climate change. It invests in adaptation and mitigation activities in developing countries, managing a project portfolio that is implemented by Accredited Entities. All GCF activities aims to support developing countries limit or reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate change impacts.
